| E.C. Thomas & Son is an independent family business established in 1956 in Pembroke Dock by the late Mr and Mrs Edward Thomas, who together with their son Graham owned and managed the business. Since May 2001 the business has been under the ownership of Stewart and Elizabeth Treharne who developed a new branch at Stepaside. This incorporates a private chapel with service and viewing facilities and a unique Woodland Garden of Rememberance where loved ones may be interred, together with a lawned cemetery. A 70 seat capacity chapel is also available should families wish to hold a service prior to interment or cremation. |

Stewart Treharne was born and brought up in Stepaside. Employed for 24 years in the water industry he has realised his lifelong vocation to become a funeral director. He has attained his Foundation Certificate in funeral directing and is continuing his professional development with the IFD College. He feels that staff training is an important and worthwhile part of the company values | |
| Elizabeth was born in Bridgend, Glamorgan and moved to Pembrokeshire in 1972 with her parents. She and Stewart have two children, Daniel and Charlotte. Elizabeth handles the finance and administration of the business and is also progressing with her studies through the IFD College.. |

| Graham Thomas was born in Pembroke Dock and worked in the family business of E.C. Thomas and Son alongside his father and mother, Mr and Mrs E.Thomas. Having built a close relationship with the community over many years, Graham is still involved in the day-to-day running of the business. |

Paul Hay joined the business in 2007 and is married with one son. Paul worked in the construction industry as a skilled carpenter and joiner. He takes a leading role in the financial business as well as managing the monumental business on a day to day basis. |
